We are currently recruiting a new non-executive director for the Peabody Group’s in-house maintenance company.

Peabody Group Maintenance

PGM was originally built up as a family-run business providing maintenance services in Walthamstow. It became Peabody Group Maintenance Limited in 2013, remaining a close-knit team operating in a relatively small area. An ambitious transformation programme is now underway to expand PGM’s operations while introducing new supporting systems and infrastructure.

The Peabody Group is looking for a new non-executive director to work alongside the executive directors currently sitting on the board. This director must be able to contribute to developing strategy whilst offering scrutiny and constructive challenge during a key transition for the company.

The role of the Board

The Board is currently overseeing a period of rapid expansion for this key subsidiary as it moves to take on responsibility for a larger proportion of the Group’s properties over the next few years. The Board also has the final responsibility for the smooth running of PGM’s operational activities and ensuring that it meets all of its obligations.

How much time will it take?
This role is not full-time. Board meetings are about 5 or 6 times a year. This means the role can be combined with work and other commitments.

Directors are expected to review and consider reports and other information before meetings, and to make occasional decisions between meetings.

Is the role paid?

This role is currently not paid, but this is under review. Reasonable expenses will be paid.
