The Assistant Technical Coordinator (Sustainability) is a member within a collaborative working environment where discussion and innovative thinking - leading to actionable improvements - are valued and encouraged in the Design and Technical team and in the wider directorate.

A talented individual with drive and potential is sought to provide timely and flexible support across the development programme by carrying out distinct research projects with a view to improving the department’s knowledge specific to sustainable building designs and neighbourhood development initiatives in areas such as transport, waste, open space and land use, and use of resources generally, etc.

The Assistant Technical Coordinator (Sustainability) will also positively influence development and regeneration project outcomes by assembling summary papers - drawing on industry research - to inform Peabody policy and decision making on energy and sustainability strategies for our development projects as well as updates to the Employer’s Requirements.

Overall, the Assistant Technical Coordinator (Sustainability) shall have an important role facilitating the successful delivery of the organisation’s vision and objectives so that:

  1. An integrated approach to sustainability can be applied at all stages of a scheme
  2. Problems can be identified and action taken to improve building efficiency
  3. Changing business and regulatory requirements are identified and acted upon
