Peabody are looking to recruit a full time Assistant Team Manager, for a 6 month fixed period within our Homelessness accommodation based services. This role is based in Basildon and provides customer support to homeless family's and single occupants during a period of assessment  by Basildon District Council

As a motivated, creative and compassionate Assistant Team Manager, you will be a self- starter, able to pick up customer support and provide high quality interventions in scheme settings, including carrying out housing management related tasks and effective incident response. You will be responsible for managing a small caseload of higher support needs customers, will provide line management support to a small team of Housing Support Workers and will oversee the day to day delivery of services.

You will have a good understanding of the support needs of customers and housing/homelessness legislation and process, of delivering housing related support and will possess a strong ability to engage with both customers and your colleagues. You will be able to lead, motivate and develop staff and deliver high quality effective services.

You will work with our customers in a person centred and trauma informed way, focusing on supporting people to become independent and achieve what matters most to them.
