Peabody has an exciting opportunity for an Outreach Support Worker to join our Outreach team in Southend-On-Sea on a full time,  permanent contract offering a competitive salary of £20,910 per annum (£10.72 per hour).  Southend Outreach Service is a generic service providing housing-related support to vulnerable persons (including mental health and substance misuse) in the community.

As an Outreach Support Worker, you will be required to provide a service where planned support and crisis intervention is delivered to a caseload of vulnerable people with high support needs in the local community.  With the aim of enabling and maintaining independent living. Support areas include housing & tenancy issues, welfare benefits, budgeting skills, social inclusion, health and well being. We have Hubs around the borough and you will be expected to help support customers at these locations. This role includes completing assessments, form filing, support plans and risk assessments. You will be required to communicate with both clients and partner agencies. 

The majority of the support is Lone Working in the community.  Experience is preferred, however is not essential.

This is both an office-based service and you will visit clients in their homes. For this role, a full driving licence and access to your own car is preferred.

The working hours are: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (may be subject to change to meet needs of the service).
