This role is currently based from home due to COVID 19 until further notice. Peabody plans to move to a hybrid model of working which means that once our office refurbishment has been completed, the role will be part office (Waterloo) and part home based.

Peabody manages over 4500 residential blocks across London and the South East. There is a new opportunity in our Building Safety Team to help us deliver our external wall investigation and remediation programme. As an Early Adopter Peabody has made good progress in making sure we are addressing building safety. We need a proactive and technically sound construction manager to help push our remediation programme forward. This will involve managing the investigation programme and supporting our Asset Management and Latent Defect teams to address any issues identified by our fire engineers. You will need good experience and knowledge in managing complex refurbishment projects. The ability to manipulate and manage large data sets and create concise and accurate performance reports and indicators is crucial. A passion for resident safety and desire to make sure that cultural changes are made to improve our sectors construction standards are key.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Building Safety Programme Manager to manage the external wall investigation programme and support our delivery and latent defect teams in remediation projects. Coordinating and reporting on key performance indicators to our Board.

 Skills/Experience required:

  • Experience of analyzing data, highlighting, understanding and suggesting business improvements required

  • Objective communication on process changes and improvements

  • Excellent ability in or knowledge of business reporting

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • IT skills in business reporting and appropriate reporting software

  • Experience/ track record of programme management in a housing association environment is desirable

  • Experience of setting up and managing programme management office (PMO) functions in a development/construction environment is desirable

  • Knowledge of the capital project management and latent defect processes
