This role is currently based from home due to COVID 19 until further notice. Peabody plans to move to a hybrid model of working which means that once our office refurbishment has been completed, the role will be part office (Waterloo) and part home based.

This is an exciting property management role in a growing business which requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the natural ability to network and build effective relationships with external managing agents and key colleagues across the organisation.

We’re looking for someone with experience of working with homeowners, property management, or working with managing agents and will help the right candidate to achieve a recognised property management qualification.

Purpose of the role:

The role will principally be to manage contractual arrangements with external managing agents, freeholders, and asset managers (EMA) on Section 106 developments, but will cover all our contractual relationships where we are not the freeholder of the block/estate.

To provide excellent front line customer service, understand the root cause of customer dissatisfaction, communicate effectively and with empathy.

Responsibilities:

  • To deliver an excellent and focused service to Peabody’s customers.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to support our customers.
  • To manage contractual arrangements with external managing agents and ensure Standard of Level Agreement (SLA) are met.
  • To advise and support our customers in resolving their queries and issues, providing personable service and ensuring proactive resolutions are identified.
  • To update and maintain systems/records to ensure that information/data is kept up to date and accurate and that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
  • To ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organisation.

Skills/Experience required:

  • Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills.

  • Proven experience and ability to deliver excellent customer care and valuing diversity.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.

  • A commitment to continuing professional development.

  • Ability to use relevant computer systems and software, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Northgate, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Role Specific:

  • Proven experience of working with customers and generating positive outcomes.

  • Proven experience of contract management and commitment to build lasting relationship.

  • Ability to read and interpret leases.

  • Ability to review and prepare management reports.

  • Experience of working in a residential property management environment.

  • Knowledge of contemporary issues and legislation affecting residential property management and the wider real estate sector.

  • Experience of managing service charge budgets and expenditure variances.

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of our customers. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.

Qualifications required:

Associate (AIRPM) or Member (MIRPM) of the Institute of Residential Property Managers (Desirable)
