Reporting to the Community Properties Manager , the Community Properties supervisor will work to ensure the smooth running of the PCF Community Hubs and support the operations of PCF Community Properties across London. This role primary location will be Hackney, Islington and Lewisham. The Community Properties supervisor post is a multifaceted role concerned with all operational functions falling within PCF remit for the successful running of the community hub portfolio.
To supervise and motivate a team of duty operation assistants across various Community Centres. Ensuring all staff are trained and supported to work in a safe environment to deliver excellent customer service and reporting health and safety concerns. Ensuring bookings are set up for internal and external hirers in a timely manner. The post holder will lead and ensure that repair and health and safety issues are reported promptly and followed up appropriately . This includes but is not limited to; supervising front of house reception duties; provision of administrative support- including bookings, finance and data input; carrying out basic compliance functions; room set-up/down; reporting of repairs & cleaning where required.
The role of the Community Properties supervisor will prioritise the work of the team and co-ordinate all related activities, to ensure the delivery of an efficient, high quality and safe service. This will include being on a rota for evenings, weekends and being on call when needed.
S/he plays an important role in bringing to life the PCF spaces that enable community members to come together and play a pivotal role in the provision of services in local areas. The postholder will be comfortable effectively communicating residents and the broader community and be passionate about supporting community activity and the most disadvantaged.
The Community Properties supervisor role is not fixed to single location and will be required to support Community Hubs across the region.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Experience of providing professional contract management of Facilities services
Strong Leadership skills
Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
Customer service experience within a community setting.
Able to travel to multiple sites
Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement
Proven time management and prioritization skills.
Proven experience and ability to deliver excellent customer care and valuing diversity.
Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets
To ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organization
Highly developed problem solving skills
Excellent IT skills and familiarity with databases
Passionate about creating opportunities for disadvantaged people and an active commitment to equal opportunities, with the ability to work in culturally diverse communities and groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate well with both residents and professionals
Great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff and stakeholders
Experience and understanding of cleaning in a non-domestic environment
An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protectio
Organised, determined, confident and resilient
Energetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated
Desirable:
Relevant professional or occupational qualification
Experience of working in the context of large scale housing regeneration
Hold a driving licence
